We raise and direct funds toward scientific research that improves the health, medical outcomes, safety, and wellness of first responders across America.

First responders face unique health risks — from carcinogenic exposures to traumatic stress injuries. Yet research funding specifically for first responder health lags far behind the need. 360 Responder Foundation exists to close that gap.
We raise funds and award grants to scientists studying occupational health, injury prevention, mental resilience, and medical innovation for the first responder community.
"Not awareness. Research."
We fund scientific research across every branch of the first responder community — because each role faces unique health and safety challenges that demand specialized study.
Funding research into carcinogenic exposure, cardiovascular strain, and respiratory health affecting those on the fireground.
Funding studies on traumatic stress, sleep deprivation, and the long-term psychological impacts of policing.
Research into vicarious trauma, auditory stress, and the unique psychological toll of being the unseen first responder.
Partnering with universities, hospitals, and labs to advance the science behind first responder health and safety.
Funding operational research that helps agencies implement evidence-based health and safety protocols.
Research bridging military and civilian first responder health, focusing on transition-related health outcomes.
Four interconnected research pillars — every grant we fund must address at least one. Because first responder health can't be compartmentalized.
Funding research on preventive medicine, chronic disease risks, and long-term health outcomes for first responders.
Advancing research on occupational injuries, innovative treatments, and medical technologies tailored to first responder needs.
Funding studies on protective equipment, operational safety protocols, and environmental hazard mitigation for responders.
Supporting research on mental resilience, trauma recovery, peer support effectiveness, and holistic wellness interventions.
We fund scientists, institutions, and research teams studying first responder health, medical outcomes, safety, and wellness. Our grants power the evidence that saves lives.
We accept applications from universities, hospitals, independent researchers, and institutions nationwide.
Grants are reviewed quarterly. Expect a response within 60-90 days of submission.
Awards range from pilot studies to multi-year research programs, depending on scope and potential impact.
Every number represents a responder who got the support they needed. Every story represents a life changed.
"After 18 years on the job, I didn't know where to turn. The foundation's team helped me navigate a complicated workers' comp case while also connecting me with mental health support. They treated me like a person, not a case number. I owe them everything."

360 Responder Foundation was born from a simple observation: first responders dedicate their lives to protecting others, yet when they need help navigating their own health, safety, and wellness — the system fails them.
Founded by a coalition of research doctors, medical professionals, and retired responders, we set out to build what we wished existed: a single trusted hub that coordinates the full spectrum of support — from mental health to medical research, from peer-reviewed studies to evidence-based interventions.
"Not awareness. Action."
